These photos represent my passion, nature photography. I've also done some still life photography. I'm currently shooting exclusively with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera.

Please Note: I spend a great deal of time trying to identify the flowers, insects, etc. so I can label the photos correctly. However, I am not an expert, and may make mistakes in identification of some photos. Please send me an email if you notice I've labeled something wrong. Garrapata State Park, California : This gallery contains photos from the Garrapata State Park, part of the Big Sur park system, just below Monterey, California. This is quite a beautiful park with rolling hills and a stream running through a wonderful Redwood forest. There are no park rangers, and the trail is not well marked or maintained. If you go, please be careful. In July 2009 I lost my footing on the trail, slid down a hill about 40 feet and broke both my legs. No cell phone service meant it was about 6 hours before I could be rescued, carried out of the woods and transported to the hospital... Click on the large photo to see an even larger image.
